Filing a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe that content on our site infringes on your copyright, please submit a written notice that includes the following:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • A clear description of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its location on our website.

Our Response to Valid DMCA Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, Bookish Closet will take the following actions:

  • Review the notice within 24–48 hours
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  • Notify the party responsible for the content, if applicable
  • Document the complaint in our internal compliance records

We may also request additional information if necessary to verify the claim.

Bookish Closet cooperates with copyright holders and legal authorities in addressing intellectual property concerns.

Repeat Infringer Policy

  • Bookish Closet maintains a strict policy regarding repeat copyright infringement.
  • Accounts or contributors that receive three (3) valid copyright infringement notices may be permanently suspended or terminated.
  • We reserve the right to remove content and restrict access to our services for users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights.

Proactive Intellectual Property Protection

Bookish Closet takes reasonable steps to prevent intellectual property violations on our platform.

These measures include:

  • Manual review of designs and product content before publication
  • Monitoring reported copyrighted works and trademarks
  • Prompt investigation of intellectual property complaints

All content, artwork, and product designs published on Bookish Closet are required to meet one of the following criteria:

  • Your name, mailing address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court in your district (or if outside the U.S., any judicial district where Bookish Closet may be found)
  • A statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
